ENAF’s mission is to connect, strengthen and support existing networks and organisations to improve collaboration and dialogue across sectors working for the transformation of food systems. It is meant to be bottom-up, people-led and transdisciplinary in orientation, and to embrace all agroecological principles. It may have several functions and play a variety of roles such as in relation to research (proposals), policy-influencing, and farmer-to-farmer exchange across countries. ENAF seeks to connect and amplify the voices and influence of a range of types of networks on agroecology, organic farming, regenerative farming, community supported agriculture, and more related approaches.
In March 2022, the first meeting of ENAF took place. We are now looking forward to the formal launch of ENAF during a special Launch Event on January 26th, 2023. During the Launch event the ENAF will be presented through a formal Starting Document which is currently being drafted and which will be fine-tuned interactively with participants in ENAF to form the basis for further steps. Speakers will be invited, such as Prof. Pablo Tittonell, presenting how networks support agroecological transformations and by Bregje Hamelynck, farmer representative of the Federation of agroecological farmers organizations in the Netherlands on building alliances across farmers organizations.
Those who have already participated in earlier meetings of ENAF will receive an invitation to the Launch Event. If you have not participated in earlier meeting but would be interested in joining the Launch event, please include your information in the registration form.
Please feel free to contact us if you would like to learn more about the ENAF initiative and the Launch Event, emails: seerp.wigboldus@wur.nl and secretariat@agroecology-europe.org.
